“Storytelling, spiritual journey, and self-discovery. Peter’s art takes you on a journey of different dimensions and realms. His art is so incredibly colorful and ignites a real appetite for deeper exploration.” – Kadia, Queens, NY
I’m a multi-discipline, mixed-media artist, designer, treasure hunter, and soul searcher. No matter the medium, my art has always been a manifestation of my personal spiritual journey. I share my vision with the world in the hope of inspiring a deeper connection between you the viewer and your own life journey. I make art to encourage people to live deeply, love fearlessly, and to appreciate this heavenly place called Earth.
While the organic aesthetics of Mother Nature are the main influence of my work, I aim to create much more than superficially beautiful objects. My art is meant to challenge your preconceptions, expand your mind, honor the sacred, and evoke feelings of adventure, exploration, and deep spiritual connection.
About my work
After serving in the Marine Corps for five years, I began my artistic career as a commercial airbrush artist in California. I fell deeply in love with the process of creation and quickly moved on to painting on canvas and creating my own visions instead of just those of my customers. I moved to New York over 14 years ago to study classical drawing and begin my career as a fine artist.
I have spent well over 7,500 hours studying my craft, at least 5,000 of which were spent drawing the human figure from life. From this, I have created over 35 sketchbooks, thousands of drawings, and hundreds of paintings and three-dimensional work.
More recently, I have been compelled to spend increasing amounts of time outside my studio. My newly forged relationship with the Earth has breathed new life into my art. My deep connection with Mother Nature came as a welcome addition in my life after over a decade of searching for meaning in my work. I now frequently visit local parks close to my studio, and when I am outdoors, I experience a heightened level of peace, curiosity, inspiration, and adventure that I channel into my art. This connection is a direct result of the deep spiritual work I’m doing through my communion with the master of all teachers Grandmother Ayahuasca and the medicine path that I now walk upon.
Message has always trumped medium. Whether it is through a mural, sculpture, jewelry, or a painting, I want the viewer to see through my eyes how beautiful I believe the world is, to appreciate the sacred mysteries of life, and be witness to the miracle of our existence.
